~ Meet Artist Dawn Pratt ~
Hello, I’m Dawn, the Artist and Creator of Dawning Art. I grew up in Portland Oregon with 1 younger sister and my amazing parents. I have always been an artist, creating since I was in diapers. Growing up, I always took art classes of all kinds. Both of my parents are artists, they are constantly learning new types of art and always encouraged my sister and I to do the same. They make amazing Jewelry, glass art, turned wood bowls and are now playing with leather crafts.
After I graduated High School I spontaneously joined the Air Force and spent 5 years enjoying Europe and all it has to offer! Now I live in Mesa Arizona, I love the desert and the sun never gets old! I have a studio in my home that is always open and I love doing art with friends. I mainly work with acrylic paints but my style is always evolving. I enjoy working with all types of mediums as well as combining them to figure out new ideas. I always say Art is a journey that never ends. My favorite trend at the moment is probably a flow style painting. I love the freedom it gives me as well as unique unexpected outcomes.
